What Is HCG?
HCG is scientifically defined as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. It is a natural accruing protein hormone that develops in the placenta during the first trimester of pregnancy shortly after conception. This protein hormone is recognized as a peptide. Peptides are a class of hormone that is secreted into the blood stream and aide in endocrine functions in living animals.
Levels of HCG can first be detected approximately 11 days following conception, in a blood test. One to three days later, it can be detected with a urine test. Some highly sensitive tests can detect HCG as early as a week following ovulation. Normal home pregnancy tests are not able to detect HCG in the blood until at least 12 to 14 days after ovulation.
A typical pregnancy should have levels of HCG doubling every 48 to 72 hours up to the eighth to 11th week, at which time they start to stabilize and remain constant for the duration of the pregnancy. This occurs in about 85% of pregnancies. When HCG levels become high, they will start to double every 96 hours.
Since HCG administration facilitates ovulation, it has since long been used as part of fertilization programs. Also, other indication is the lack of descent of testicles in boys, a condition called cryptorchidism.
HCG is one of the few drugs of natural origin that, fortunately, still remain in the current Pharmacopoeia. For unknown reasons, most of the research performed on its therapeutic potential deals with investigations related to testicles or ovaries, with comparatively few investigations performed in other clinical fields.
Thousands of articles have been published about the effect of HCG on gonads (testicles or ovaries), but comparatively a small number of these have investigated its vast therapeutic potential on diseases ranging from Kaposi sarcoma, asthma, artheriopaties, thalassemia, osteopenia, glaucoma, cancer.
HCG – Why Does It Work
Although HCG is naturally produced only in pregnant women, as a diet aid it works the same for men and women. Most people on this program report losing between 0.5 to 1 pound per day, and claim it is the only program where they have been able to keep the weight off afterward. However, as with any drug or medication, or even with food (e.g., allergies), there is individual variation in its efficacy. Everyone is familiar with the fact that doctors often have to change people’s medications because they don’t respond as expected. So although HCG is effective for the great majority of people who try it, there is logically no promise that it will work for everyone, every time. But you don’t need to worry, because we have you covered with our refund guarantee — unlike doctors, clinics, pharmacies or websites who wouldn’t refund a dime if a treatment or prescription didn’t work. So you can give the Healthy HCG diet a try with confidence in how well it is working, and at the same time you are covered by our guarantee!

HCG Side Effects
Stop using HCG and get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have any of these signs of a blood clot: pain, warmth, redness, numbness, or tingling in your arm or leg; confusion, extreme dizziness, or severe headache.
Some women using this medicine have developed a condition called ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome (OHSS), especially after the first treatment cycle. OHSS can be a life-threatening condition. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the following symptoms of OHSS:
- Severe pelvic pain;
- Swelling of the hands or legs;
- Stomach pain and swelling;
- Shortness of breath;
- Weight gain;
- Nausea or vomiting; or
- Urinating less than normal.
HCG can cause early puberty in young boys. Call your doctor if a boy using this medicine shows early signs of puberty, such as a deepened voice, pubic hair growth, and increased acne or sweating.
Less serious side effects may include:
- Feeling restless or irritable;
- Mild swelling or water weight gain;
- Breast tenderness or swelling; or
- Pain, swelling, or irritation where the injection is given.
This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Tell your doctor about any unusual or bothersome side effect.
In humans, HCG is contraindicated in patients with prostatic carcinoma or other androgen-dependent neoplasias, precocious puberty or having a previous hypersensitivity reaction to HCG. No labeled contraindications for veterinary patients were noted, but the above human contraindications should be used as guidelines. Antibody production to this hormone has been reported after repetitive use, resulting in diminished effect.
HCG Diet – History
Over 50 years ago, Doctor A.T.W. Simeons discovered HCG. He was studying malnutrition in villages when he came across this incredible safe way to lose weight. When he entered the villages, he noticed that the pregnant women were in the best shape, but as soon as they had their baby, their health went downhill just as everyone else. It drove him crazy and that’s when he discovered it could be used for the treatment of obesity in men and non-pregnant women. HCG in trace amounts has the ability to metabolize any abnormal fat off the hips, stomach, and thighs. He found the mechanism of HCG assists in removing stored fat while sparing lean muscle by forcing the body to rid fat through the body’s own natural elimination process. His patients received a daily injection of the HCG for 40 days in conjunction with following a very low 500 calorie diet. During his research Dr. Simeons noticed several important factors including the lack of symptoms one would expect from a patient on a very low calorie diet. For example, his patients had no hunger pains, weakness, or irritability as long as the low calorie diet was combined with HCG. Since then, tens of thousands of people have used a version of this HCG diet to achieve fast, safe and sustainable weight loss.
HCG is a hormone that is produced in women during pregnancy. It is utilized by the body to protect and nourish the fetus by delivering adequate caloric nutrition to the placenta by obtaining the mother’s stored fat reserves, thus sparing lean muscle. HCG by injection has been commonly used for decades to treat a variety of medical conditions in addition to weight loss, such as hypogonadism (very low testosterone levels in men) and infertility in women. HCG targets the stored nutrients and calories in fat cells by liquefying their content. These nutrients are then released into the bloodstream, in the same way that a pregnant mother passes nutrients to her unborn baby. It is believed that this source of natural energy is immediately available to the body. In some cases as much as 4,000 calories is delivered in a single day.
Fat cells are drained of their contents and shrink to a fraction of their original size. This mechanism also may help in preventing stretch marks and sagging skin. Natural energy levels increase from nutrients supplied by the fat cells, while appetite decreases noticeably.
